"MONTARRA" HOPE FOREST            Half day ride

From McLaren Vale, turn left into McMurtrie Road,then Pennys Hill Road. 8Km to the Range Hall, Right onto Range road,  Take the second road 3km on left into Montarra road .From Brookman road turn right into Pottery Road to Range Road Hall. Signs will be out from hall.

Drive to Willunga, take the Aldinga Road heading west, and almost straight away turn right into Railway Terrace.  Park at the station.

Approx 12kms from Mt Compass (on Adelaide-Victor Harbor Rd) heading for Victor Harbor (do not take the Goolwa Rd just out of Mt Compass), turn left into Crows Nest Road (scenic road to Port Elliot).  2kms on right, turn into 2^nd driveway.  Wooden sign says “Wuriyurnga”.  If coming from Port Elliot, turn into Tottenham Court Rd, cross Waterport Rd into Crows Nest Rd, continue approx 6km, watch for the driveway on your left after Higgins Rd on right.

From Woodside, travel out thru Charleston, onto Mt Torrens and Birdwood. At Birdwood turn left, drive thru main street, just out of town turn right into Warren Rd heading towards Williamstown. Just after the road from Gumeracha joins this road, turn right onto Cricks Mill Rd. Travel towards Mt Pleasant. Starkey's road is on the left and is a dirt road. Travel down for quite a distance, turn left into Starkey's paddock area where there is a gate into the forest. This is where the toilet, shelter and yards are.               From Mt Pleasant, head out Cricks Mill Rd towards Williamstown. Starkey's Rd is on the right and is a dirt road. Travel down for quite a distance as above.

From Brookman rd, turn left onto South Rd, Take the right turn off to Myponga, this is Pages Flat Rd, follow the road for a while, Turn left into Hindmarsh Tiers Rd, follow this road for 7.6klm. Turn right into Spingmount Rd, travel 2.6klm turn left into Kurrabinya property.  Go through the gate and along driveway, park where you see the floats.      It will be signposted before the turn off to Spring Mount Road. 

THIS IS A MONDAY All day ride - Bring lunch and Halter. Ride will be thru Sarah & Mark Dyson’s property “Kurrabinya”.   No road work open paddocks & bush land, slightly undulating at times.
