ABOUT ATHRC
like minded people, riding their own horses, enjoy the Australian countryside
The Adelaide Trail Horse Riders Club Inc. was formed in 1975 with the aim of fostering interest in strictly non-competitive horse riding.
Trail rides are conducted once or twice a month within a 50 km radius of Adelaide, South Australia. Periodically, weekend rides are held further a field, with an extended annual ride to places such as the Flinders Ranges.
Day trail rides leave promptly at 10 a.m. Short rides typically take 2 to 3 hours with lunch back at the floats. On longer rides lunch is carried in saddle bags and we return around 2 pm - 3 pm. The rides are detailed in the club newsletter and on the ride calendar web page. To receive the newsletter you need to be a club member.
A charge of $5.00 per member and $20.00 for non-members is made for day rides. Forest rides incur an additional forest fee unless you have an annual forest pass.
ATHRC has insurance with TRA Inc. (Trail Riding Australia) which covers Public Liability for riders.
